Welgro brings 40 years of regional experience, technical expertise and established customer relationships to the Wacker Neuson dealer network, strengthening local support across Mpumalanga.
Wacker Neuson South Africa has strengthened its presence in Mpumalanga through the appointment of Welgro Engineering and Mining Supplies as an authorised dealer partner. The partnership combines Wacker Neuson’s wide range of equipment solutions with Welgro’s 40 years of regional experience, established customer relationships and technical capabilities.
Based in Middelburg, Welgro has built a strong presence across Mpumalanga, supporting customers in the mining, engineering, construction and agricultural sectors. Its established sales network, fully equipped workshop and focus on responsive technical support made it a strong fit for Wacker Neuson’s strategy to strengthen customer support and market coverage in the province.
“Welgro’s established sales network, technical expertise and proven track record across several key industries made the partnership a strong fit,” says Eric Berrington, Wacker Neuson Regional Manager for Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga. “The team’s focus on service and long-term customer relationships aligns closely with how we want to support our customers in the region.”
Under the dealership agreement signed in the first quarter of 2026, Welgro will supply Wacker Neuson’s range of compact machines, including mini excavators, telehandlers and wheel loaders, alongside light equipment like lighting towers, pumps, compaction equipment, concrete technology and other specialised solutions.
“Wacker Neuson’s reputation for quality, reliability and practical, operator-focused equipment was a key factor in our decision to partner with the brand,” says Kyle Handley, Managing Director at Welgro. “We see strong opportunities across the industries we serve, particularly for compact equipment, lighting towers and compaction solutions.”
Welgro will provide local after-sales support across the Wacker Neuson range, including maintenance, servicing and repairs through its workshop and dedicated service crew. Wacker Neuson will support the dealership with product training, technical expertise, parts support and strategic stock planning to ensure customers receive support throughout the equipment lifecycle.
The partnership marks an important milestone for both businesses. Welgro celebrated 40 years in business in 2026, with Wacker Neuson among its industry partners represented at the company’s Suppliers Day in Middelburg in July.
“Welgro’s heritage as a family-owned business, built on strong relationships, trust and service, reflects the type of long-term partnership we value,” concludes Berrington. “Together, we look forward to strengthening customer support and building on the opportunities across Mpumalanga.”
